Menu & dining

Seasonal dining, shared at an unhurried pace

Midnightmar Queeclub is an independent Australian restaurant, dining venue and offline poker lounge where seasonal food, thoughtful drinks and convivial evenings gather around one table. The menu is made for a lingering meal, a quick pre-poker dinner or a late-evening bite with friends.

Begin with dinner, then continue into the card lounge if you choose. Poker is hosted exclusively offline and in person at the venue; it is recreational, social and subject to venue rules and applicable Australian laws.

Seasonal plates

Season-led, not fixed

Our menu follows the season in a way that feels fresh, balanced and right for the table. It is a guide to the style of dining at Midnightmar Queeclub rather than a promise of a fixed dish list: composed plates, thoughtful contrasts and food made to meet the moment. Ask our team about current selections when you book or arrive, especially if you are planning a particular kind of meal.

For the centre of the table

Seasonal plates reward sharing, conversation and an unhurried meal, whether you are dining for two or joining a larger group. The approach is tactile and considered, with freshness and pacing kept in view so food can be passed, discussed and enjoyed without hurrying the table onward.

For long tables

Shared dining for long tables

A shared table gives food room to become part of the conversation. It suits friends who prefer a relaxed format, colleagues making time to connect, and private celebrations shaped around an atmosphere that feels warm, composed and welcoming.

Food that can be passed, discussed and returned to gives a group its own pace. Rather than treating the evening like a function-room checklist, we see shared dining as a generous way to make space for people, stories and the occasion they have brought with them.

Dinner to card lounge

Pre-poker dinner and card-lounge snacks

Food can set a comfortable pace for an evening at the venue, from a composed dinner before a session to lighter plates that keep a longer social visit feeling easy.

Pre-poker dinner

Arrive settled at the table

Enjoy a composed dinner before a hosted poker night: time to eat well, share a drink and arrive at the table feeling settled. Dining is available as part of a venue visit, while poker is a separate hosted social activity. You are welcome to dine without taking part in poker.

At the table

Light bites between hands

For a long, in-person social poker evening, light card-lounge snacks offer an unobtrusive option between hands. These are easy-sharing plates for guests who want to keep the table comfortable and conversational, without relying on detailed dish lists, set timing or a rushed service rhythm.

Hosted, social and in person. Poker at Midnightmar Queeclub is recreational and hosted at the venue exclusively offline and in person. Participation is subject to venue rules and applicable Australian laws. Find current poker-night information.

Later at the venue

Late-evening dishes

Later dishes are relaxed, satisfying choices for guests who settle in after dinner, arrive later or want something warm and considered alongside conversation. The seasonal approach continues into late-evening dining, with food that suits a measured visit and a card lounge that is only one possible part of the atmosphere.

Desserts

Dessert after the final hand

Linger over dessert after a hosted poker session, or simply conclude dinner on a sweet, relaxed note. The selection can change with the season, but the invitation remains the same: take your time, enjoy the company and let the end of the meal feel as considered as its beginning.

Reserve a dining table when you would like to begin the evening with food before moving into the venue’s wider social atmosphere. A table booking does not include poker participation.

Considered dining

Vegetarian and gluten-friendly dining

Seasonal menus naturally change, so the most helpful approach is an open conversation about what will help you dine well on the day of your visit.

Vegetarian options

Part of the table conversation

Vegetarian options are part of the dining conversation across seasonal plates, shared dining and lighter late-evening choices. As selections vary with the menu, please flag preferences when booking or speak with the team when you arrive. That gives us the best starting point for guiding your table through the current offering.

Gluten-friendly options

Clear, practical guidance

Gluten-friendly options can be discussed in a considerate, practical way with the venue. Menus and preparation can change seasonally, so guests with individual dietary requirements should speak with our team before their visit or on arrival. We do not describe the kitchen as gluten-free or make guarantees about preparation; clear conversation helps us guide you appropriately.

Tell us what helps you dine well

Include dietary preferences with your table booking or private-event enquiry so the venue can guide the conversation appropriately and help you plan with current seasonal information in mind.

At every pace

Drinks for every pace of the evening

Our drinks list sits alongside the food and the occasion: a refreshing start, a shared dinner, or a longer, social visit at the venue.

Non-alcoholic drinks

Balanced and food-friendly

Non-alcoholic drinks are considered companions to lunch, dinner, shared plates and long social evenings in the card lounge. Refreshing, balanced and easy to bring to the table, they are part of the same welcoming drinks conversation rather than an afterthought.

Signature cocktails

A measured beginning or pause

Signature cocktails are carefully considered for an aperitif, a shared dinner or a relaxed later conversation. The tone is refined and moderate, with the drinks list designed to sit comfortably beside the food and the people around the table.

Australian wine and spirits

Comfortable beside the menu

Australian wine and spirits form a complementary part of the drinks list, selected to sit comfortably beside seasonal food and shared dining. Please enjoy alcohol responsibly; the focus remains a considered table and an evening shaped around food, company and hospitality.

A considered table can include whatever suits your meal and evening. Guests may dine only or stay for a hosted, in-person poker session; poker is social and recreational, and drinks are never a requirement for taking part.

Planning your visit

A dining table before a poker night

A table booking can be a chance to enjoy dinner before a hosted poker night, while keeping dining and poker as distinct parts of the venue experience. Dine without taking part in poker, or make a social evening of both at a pace that feels right for your group.

Hosted at Midnightmar Queeclub

Poker nights and poker-table experiences are hosted exclusively offline and in person at the venue. They are recreational and social occasions; visit the poker page for current session information before planning your evening.

Respectful participation

Hosted poker is subject to venue rules and applicable Australian laws. Please review the relevant poker-night information before you plan your visit, so the evening begins with a clear and comfortable understanding.

Plan the social side

Explore poker nights when your group would enjoy an in-person social table experience after dinner or as part of a broader venue visit. Availability and dining remain separate considerations.

Corporate hospitality with an easy rhythm

Corporate hospitality is an opportunity to bring colleagues together over food and drinks, with space to discuss a broader in-venue social experience. Hosted poker may be a social card-lounge experience to discuss; any poker activity is in person and subject to venue rules and applicable Australian laws.
